The Dragon Boat Festival is the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival for the Chinese people. The indispensable activities on this day gradually evolved into: eating dumplings, racing dragon boats, hanging calamus, leaves, Kaori rhizoma atractylodis, Angelica dahurica and drinking realgar. Eating dumplings and dragon boat racing is to commemorate Qu Yuan, so after the liberation, the Dragon Boat Festival was named "Poet's Day" to commemorate Qu Yuan. As for the hanging of Acorus calamus and Artemisia leaves, Kaori rhizoma atractylodis, Angelica dahurica and drinking realgar, it is said that it is to suppress evil. Some activities, such as dragon boat racing, have achieved new developments, breaking through time and geographical boundaries and becoming international sports events.
